The Product:

Last year we added a mask to the list of things we're constantly misplacing. Not anymore! Unprecedented times call for unprecedented measures, and we came up with this cool chain so your mask can rest comfortably around your neck when you don’t need it on your face!

The Story:

This is yet again another 2nd Story for this product. We took the design for our black bolo chains and decided to turn it into a chain for masks! Assembled by hand in Haiti with black leather cord and locally sourced upcycled aluminum pieces.

The Details:

-for use with all ear-loop masks

-36" long

-leather cord for comfort around neck

About the Partner & Their Impact:

Our Impact Partner, 2nd Story Goods understands how it feels to want to buy things that are good for the people who made them, the planet, and you. This is why they have been working on the ground with their artisans in Gonaives, Haiti for 10 years, creating recycled, handcrafted goods for a livable wage. Last year, their impact enabled over 108 children to stay in school, not because of hand-outs, but through the dignity of their parents’ work with 2nd Story Goods.

2nd Story Goods

Why do we partner with 2nd Story Goods?
2nd Story Goods was one of our first partners and one of our most popular. They believe in providing fair wages to the craftsmen and artisans who produce their beautiful goods. That's why 2nd Story Goods pays artisans on average 135% above minimum wage, upfront, for their work.

They also believe in embedding their company in the communities that produce their goods. That's why the Director of 2nd Story Goods, Kathy Brooks, lives full-time in Jubilee, Haiti. She works tirelessly to cultivate community with the local artisans with whom she works.
