Meet your new long necklace obsession! The gold chain with white-gray beads means this can go with literally anything. Hand-dyed, locally-sourced majok seed beads hint at the natural beauty of Haiti, while the lariat style elevates the necklace to be a classy addition to any outfit.
All of our jewelry incorporates upcycled and/or local materials. This reflects our values of positively impacting the earth and the local economy of Haiti, as well as the redemption of giving old things a 2nd Story. Our jewelry team has become experts in their craft since 2011 when we started out teaching the skills, crowded together on children’s school benches in Jubilee!
-materials: gold-finished brass chain and majok seed beads
About the Partner & Their Impact:
Our Impact Partner, 2nd Story Goods understands how it feels to want to buy things that are good for the people who made them, the planet, and you. This is why they have been working on the ground with their artisans in Gonaives, Haiti for 10 years, creating recycled, handcrafted goods for a livable wage. Last year, their impact enabled over 108 children to stay in school, not because of hand-outs, but through the dignity of their parents’ work with 2nd Story Goods.
