The Product:
We LOVE the sage blocking around the edge of these beauties. They go perfectly as placemats with our woven napkin rings and cotton napkins. Or they are perfect trivets to hold your pots and dishes. Our hope is that they bring beauty to a table that hosts beautiful conversations!
The Story:
We work with 3 different groups of makers (totaling 20 people!) to make our baskets. Locally sourced dried palm tree leaves are handwoven into a beautiful 2nd Story with each product made; these pieces show off the beauty of Haiti. It takes steady patience and an artist’s feel to work with the palm leaves. Their work speaks for itself!

Our Impact Partner, 2nd Story Goods understands how it feels to want to buy things that are good for the people who made them, the planet, and you. This is why they have been working on the ground with their artisans in Gonaives, Haiti for 10 years, creating recycled, handcrafted goods for a livable wage. Last year, their impact enabled over 108 children to stay in school, not because of hand-outs, but through the dignity of their parents’ work with 2nd Story Goods.
