Whether they need help with getting a proper education, a safe living situation, or simply some extra support, it is nice to know that there are companies out there who strive to provide this support. Every child deserves to grow up without fear that their basic needs will not be met and have access to resources and tools that will help them succeed.

What is it?

When a business supports kids, this means that they take some action to help out children in need in some way. This can look like a monetary donation to an organization that focuses on empowering and taking care of children, donating their products to these organizations, or volunteering their time to help out these children. Our positive impact partners, Headbands Of Hope and Jelt, support kids by donating a headband to a child with an illness for every item sold and donating a portion of the profits to THRIVE respectively. THRIVE is an organization that supports parents, empowers children, and strengthens families.

Why does it matter?

2.5 million children experience homelessness in American every year. Almost five children die every day from child abuse. Every year, more than 40,000 children undergo treatment for cancer. Childhood should be spent learning and growing into young adults. They should not be worrying about hospital bills, questioning which family members they should trust or where their next meal is coming from. It is important for businesses and companies to support children when they can so that they can help at-risk or vulnerable children from growing into vulnerable adults.

It is important for consumers to support these companies because it incentivizes them to continue to support this cause while also making consumers themselves feel good about their purchase. Your “Simple Switch” to products that support kids is important because every child deserves to grow up to be the best version of themselves.
