Fulfilled by our friends at Handicraft Soul
This set of 3 reusable bowl covers is handmade in Cape Town, South Africa as part of a women's community project to help provide employment to stay-at-home Moms in marginalized areas of the city.
Made from cotton shwe shwe fabric, these bowl covers are the perfect eco-friendly alternative to plastic wrap. Great for raising dough, covering leftovers in the fridge, or keeping the bugs off of food when outside. The elastic around the cover stretches to keep it in place on your bowls. They're machine washable too!
The set includes 3 round covers: 1 Small, 1 Medium, 1 Large
Small - Approximately fits a bowl of diameter 4.5 to 6 in
Medium - Approximately fits a bowl of diameter 7.5 to 10 in
Large - Approximately fits a bowl of diameter 10 to 12 in
Care Instructions
Wash gently in cold water with a mild detergent when needed. If machine washing, wash with similar colors.
About the Partner & Their Impact:
Our Impact Partner, Handicraft Soul, is a fair trade & artisan marketplace, a small business with a social purpose! Their aim is to form meaningful partnerships with artisans in Africa and bring their products to new markets in the U.S. Some of their partner artisans are independent entrepreneurs, while others are social enterprise groups, which teach their members new skills, offer fair wages, and provide a safe working environment. Many of the goods they sell are also environmentally-friendly, using recycled or re-purposed materials. By building relationships and connecting high quality, unique products to new customers, they hope to see artisans and their businesses flourish.
